County Connection was formed in 1980 as a Joint Powers Agency under the legal name The Central Contra Costa Transit Authority. Today County Connection provides fixed-route and paratransit bus service throughout the communities of Concord, Pleasant Hill, Martinez, Walnut Creek, Clayton, Lafayette, Orinda, Moraga, Danville, San Ramon, as well as unincorporated communities in Central Contra Costa County.

Customer Service can be reached at (925) 676-7500.

This user-friendly system provides clear maps and up-to-date schedules, empowering you to plan your transit effortlessly. Whether you’re commuting or exploring, County Connection ensures reliable and convenient public transportation, connecting you to your destinations with ease.

County Connection participates in the Regional Transit Discount Card Program, which allows people with disabilities, those traveling with an attendant, and certain veterans to ride at reduced fares on all Bay Area transportation systems. It is also a Clipper card, and you can add cash value or products. The RTC Program does not apply to paratransit services. However, if you receive paratransit services in the Bay Area, you are eligible for an RTC card. People over 65 should apply for the Senior Clipper card, which provides the same discounts and never expires.

All County Connection buses have either a passenger lift or ramp. County Connection’s regularly scheduled, fixed-route bus service can be just as convenient for disabled and senior patrons as our dial-a-ride LINK service. Lower fares and expanded times of operation make fixed-route bus service a valuable alternative for many customers. Of course, we are aware that many dial-a-ride LINK riders may be unable to use fixed-route bus service. However, if you are able, and live close to a bus stop, fixed-route transit may fulfill your transit needs. Service is also provided to persons using respirators, concentrators, and portable oxygen.
